June 28, 2008

Dear Family:

David remains in Surgical ICU.  His recovery is progressing with no setbacks.  David has many body abrasions, some very serious.  His left side head, check, shoulder have loss of skin and swelling.  We found out that he has 3 broken bones in his neck. However, the neurosurgeon does not need to do surgery at this time.  He feels that it well heal on its own.

Kathy is leaving tonight to be with David, Tammy, and Jeffery.  She will be back on the 14th of July.

We thank you for keeping David and us in your prays during this difficult time.

Love,  Dennis and Kathy

Dear Family & Friends

Kathy's triple bi-pass surgery, yesterday, went well.  She is in the intensive care unit for recovery.  Only immediate family may visit, for short periods of time.  I think she will go to a regular room tomorrow or Monday.`

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dennis

 Hi Connie:

I Thought I  would send this note to you, so that you could send it out out to the rest of the family, if you would.  Thanks, in advance for your help.

 Hello Everyone!

I am writing this note to keep you in the loop about my latest medical conditions.

l went by ambulance to Albany General Hospital last week.  Having a very high blood glucose level and a very low Blood Pressure.  I was placed in ICU.  First diagnoses and treatment was for ketosis.  After many blood tests the doctors found a problem with an elevated enzyme in my blood, which showed possible heart muscle damage.  They stated that I had had a mild heart attack.  Most women and diabetics show no symptoms for heart attacks, that is why I probably was so sick.

Because of this, I was sent to Corvallis Hospital for an angiogram.  The results showed three clogged arteries.  The cardiologist recommends a triple bi-pass.  The surgery will take place in a week or so.  I have an appointment scheduled, Monday, July 30th, with the heart surgeon.  A date for surgery has not been set yet.  We will keep you posted.

Please keep us in your prayers.

Love and Kisses,  Kathy and Dennis
